Governmental Affairs Committee
The Mercer County Farm Bureau Governmental Affairs Committee meets four to six times throughout the year to meet with local officials such as members of the Mercer County Board, County Treasurer, County Sheriff, and School Superintendents.
The committee also meets with State and Federal Elected Officials to make sure agriculture's voice is heard in Springfield and Washington D.C.
Members of the Governmental Affairs Committee have the opportunity to attend Illinois Farm Bureau's Governmental Affairs Conference in Springfield. The conference features a reception with State Representative and Senators, updates from State Officials, as well as break out sessions that are sure to benefit your farming operation.
