Defensive Driving Course (day 1)

Event Date and Time: 
September 23, 2014 - 10:00am

Please join us for a Defensive Driving Seminar for members 55 and older on September 23rd and 24th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Farm Bureau building. Doug Sommers will be teaching the program. Graduates of the seminar may be eligible for a discount on their insurance. Cost will be $15 and will include lunch both days.

Meat Goes to School banquet

The annual Meat Goes to School teacher’s banquet is being held on Tuesday, September 23rd at Barley & Rye in Moline.

Young Leaders Compete in State Quiz Bowl Contest

Mercer County Farm Bureau/COUNTRY® Financial Hosts Another Great Evening at the Appreciation Picnic

 The Mercer County Farm Bureau and COUNTRY® Financial welcomed over two hundred and fifty members and clients to the Aledo VFW to enjoy a picnic style meal on Tuesday, August 5th. The picnic was hosted by the Mercer County Farm Bureau and COUNTRY® Financial Representatives Tracy Bigham, Steve Sim, Lou Sutton, John Waugh, and Todd Whelan. Mercer Market provided a delectable meal for picnic goers this year.

Cheri Bustos Receives Friend of Agriculture Award

 The Illinois Farm Bureau has named Congresswoman Cheri Bustos a ‘Friend of Agriculture.’ 
Elected in November 2012, Bustos was named to the House Agriculture Committee and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, a major benefit to her constituents in the 17th Congressional District.
